Annual Peach Festival
August 2023
Firstly, we would like to thank all of you who participated in helping out at last year's Peach Festival! Now, as we look forward to this year's festival, we are reaching out once again for helping hands to assist our committee in the preparations. "Be a peach" and volunteer! We need your help to make this the best festival we've ever had!
To "jump-start" the festival, we need people to help out in our Bazaar / White Elephant section -- including sorting donations, evaluating and pricing items for sale, and preparing the goods for the designated tables. Simply e-mail Fedora Paraschuk (fednorm@gmail.com), including your name and contact information.
For those of you who are unable to assist in that section, please consider helping us in another way. We're looking for gently-used household items that you may want to contribute to our Marketplace section, "Re-use Re-new," which also includes a "Hidden Treasures" category. Keep in mind that whatever you may decide to give up may become someone else's "treasure." We're also looking for items for our adult / children's Used Books / Games and Jewelry tables.
All items may be dropped off at the parish hall on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays until August 7. If you require further information, contact our co-chairs Terry and Sharyn Choules (905/932-9968) (terry.a.choules@gmail.com).
The planning committee is making a concerted effort this year to be good stewards of the earth. We are looking for individuals to take on the role of environmental waste management. The goal is to reduce waste to a minimum. This includes looking at our consumables and designing, implementing, and managing a system to reduce post-consumer waste at the Peach Festival. For those who are interested and can assist, contact Terry and Sharyn Choules (905/932-9968); e-mail terry.a.choules@gmail.com We thank you!
